Sunken Garden - Regeneration

I passed all the comments on from our Sunken Garden coffee morning to AS and The RHS. I met today with Earle Newman of Affinity Sutton. We looked at the Garden and Earle and AS are supportive of what we are trying to do. Intially we have asked to get the area cleaned up and safe. We are then going to get the benches repaired, pot holes fixed and some trees pruned, some raised beds  made for Veg planting and additonal lighting. We have intially spoken about leaving the fencing up , but covered in trellis ,intially to see what the reaction is , and then if we feel confident in the future about vanadalism not taking place ,they would be removed. The important thing is to get the space in a safe and workable environment so the residents can reclaim the space for their community.
