Handrails in The Sunken Garden - Poor Lighting
Many thanks to Jean Keal who has overseen the installation of Handrails in the Sunken Garden which are being installed today. We are also awaiting a water standpipe and some lighting. Jean will continue to pursue this in order to make our garden more user friendly . The Committee has also written to Affinity Sutton re the exterior lighting on the Door Entrances ,. There are currently 14 not working. One of the old ladies fell outside K block due to poor lighting, and resident continue to give us accounts of not being able to see the locks to get their keys in the door. We have several account of residents feeling unsafe in the dark night due to lighting issues. We will continue to liaise with Affinity Sutton over these issues

Ian, I have complained about the lights on the estate not working as well. I also requested a stronger lock to be put onto our external door. Both of these about 4 months ago, still hasn't been done. They eventually 'fixed' the current lock on the external door, but haven't put a stronger lock on. Anne Mclean
